ROSH HASHANAH
The holiday of Rosh HaShanah marks the start of the Jewish New Year, which falls out at the start of autumn. Traditionally, Rosh HaShana meals feature apples, honey, and pomegranates, to symbolize our wishes for a sweet and fruitful year.

HANUKKAH
On Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, we light the menorah each day, and foods fried in oil are traditionally eaten, to commemorate the miracle that kept the Temple's menora lit for eight days, until more oil was made.

LIFE EVENTS
When we celebrate a joyful event, we often wish "Mazel Tov," a wish for good fortune, and "L'Chaim," which means "to life!"
